Antwan Wilson became Chancellor of DC Public Schools in February 2017, assuming leadership of the fastest-improving urban school district in the country. Chancellor Wilson has devoted his life to improving educational opportunities, particularly for underserved children, and credits dedicated public school teachers with his own rise from a challenging childhood. He previously served as Superintendent of the Oakland Unified School District and as Assistant Superintendent of Denver Public Schools.  He began his career as a middle and high school teacher in Kansas, Nebraska, and North Carolina.
