Tae serves as the program manager for the Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence, collaborates with partners including Real World Scholars, and anchors major operations projects. Tae previously was a middle school social studies and math teacher at St. John Chrysostom School in Inglewood, CA, and a high school religion teacher at St. Elizabeth High School in Wilmington, DE.

Tae earned his Master of Public Policy (MPP) in 2016 from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. He received both a MA and a BA in Theology from the University of Notre Dame in 2010 and 2008 respectively.
